I would like to take a moment to morn the loss of those who died in the terrorist attacks on 9-11-2001 and in the subsequent wars related to terrorism. I would also like to extend my support to the troops that have fought in the war on terror since the attacks. Although no words can express my gratitude the sacrifices made by those brave individuals over the last five years have been truly appreciated.

Ripsnortr First Skydive

Saw Ripsnortr's latest album and just wanted to spotlight it on the main page. It takes a lot of guts to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I wouldn't do it unless I absolutely have to.

A better free codec package

While the Kazza codec package works great, lets be honest.. it is getting kind of long in the tooth. (This means old for all you young'uns reading this). :P I came across this much little jem and it works very well. While it may have not been updated since Dec. 04 it is still newer than the Kazza alternative and covers more as well. Check it out here!

Eve Online Trailer

Eve on-line is one of those MMORPGs that stands out from the crowd (IMO). I played it last year for about 3 months before I simply ran out of time, but this new trailer (look for the Eve Never Fades XL flavor) may be enough to make me want to reactivate my account. Pretty cool stuff.

Firefox Anonymous...

Berkun blog (aka Scott Berkun) reveals that he has made the permanent switch to Firefox. Scott was once an IE 5.x developer. From his recent blog:

It’s a sad day and a good day. For years I’ve held onto my IE install out of love. I worked on IE 1.0 thru 5.0, and was one of the people that designed much of its UI. But my love for the past has faded. Last week I switched to Firefox: and I’ve been happy.
